Gunther White German Shepherds FAQ's

Are your dogs really all white?

Yes, our German shepherd dogs are pure white.  There are no fawn or other colorings.  Our dogs and puppies are specifically bred for intelligence and their white color.

Are there any hip problems?

No.  The people we purchased our original dogs from had raised purebreds for 30 years, with no problems.  We have had no hip issues with any of our dogs or pups.  Hip problems in German shepherds arose from breeding dogs for their angular slope.  Our white German shepherd dogs all have straight backs.

How big do they get?

They are large dogs.  Our males will weigh 80 - 90 lbs.  Our females are smaller weighing around 60 lbs.

What is UKC?

Universal Kennel Club - UKC is located in New York, since 1938.  Our dogs and pups are all registered with UKC as purebred German Shepherds.  Five generation pedigrees are available from UKC.  Each of our pups comes with a registration application.

How is their disposition?

Our dogs have a good disposition - poised, confident, calm and alert.

How are they with kids?

Very good.  One of our pups from a previous litter went to a family where the father worked evenings and would come home late at night.  The dog slept in his daughters room.  When he got home he tried to be quiet, not to wake anyone.  Every night he checked his daughter in her room sleeping and every single time the dog met him at the door.
